Every child entering the school must wear the school uniform provided by the school at the beginning of the year, as well as black shoes without heels.
During extracurricular activities, whether inside or outside the school, a T-shirt bearing the school label with sneakers will be worn.
In order to promote optimal concentration and preserve a productive learning environment, a strict "no screen time" policy is enforced both in classrooms and on school premises. Personal cell phones and tablets are confiscated on entry to the school zone. The only screen time allowed will be the projection of educational content in classrooms equipped with video projectors.
School attendance is also expected of our children at YKA, and a daily attendance record will be shared regularly with students' families to ensure children's full participation in school activities and learning, as a joint responsibility between the school and families.
YKA has a zero-tolerance policy against the following social evils:
harassment of any kind,
Sexist behaviour
Intimidation
Disrespect towards each other OR towards/by school staff and/or seniors will not be tolerated from/on our students, neither inside nor outside the school campus.
Finally, we expect our students to be ambassadors of the YKA philosophy wherever they are, and to serve as models of the value system in which the school shapes them.
As such, we consider parents and families to be an integral part of the school community and expect them to participate fully in school life, outings and activities as volunteers on a rotating basis.
